In an instant—everything changed.

It was at the coffee shop around the corner, talking to my mentor, when it dawned on me. This wasn’t an option, it was a calling. An unshakable feeling down to the very last cell in my body that I had to share my passion for interior design with the world. I had no idea, in that moment, that my life would change forever. Or even more shockingly, just how much it would change.

I found my calling in interior design and, with the unwavering support of my husband who said, “You can do this, I got you,” I took the leap. I stumbled upon a job posting from a renowned architect in Dallas in the newspaper. Determined, I convinced him to give me a five-minute interview. Going rogue, I sent him a package showcasing my work before the interview. When we met, I told him I didn’t need to be paid; I just wanted an opportunity. He gave it to me, and those were the best years of training I could’ve ever achieved.

Even after pursing studies in Economics, my education and the rigorous training during those early years prepared me to handle the most challenging and rewarding experiences in my career as an interior designer.

Every project I’ve taken on since then has been a testament to that pivotal moment in the coffee shop, a moment that set the course for a career filled with passion, creativity, and a deep sense of fulfillment. It reminds me that sometimes, the most significant changes start with a single, bold step. Trust in your calling, embrace the support of those who believe in you, and never be afraid to take a leap of faith. You never know just how much your life can change when you do.
